Interactive Touchscreen Application
2026
Ontario Parks Kiosk is a touchscreen-based interactive application developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The application is designed to provide visitors with an engaging way to explore park information, history, activities, and wildlife. It features smooth navigation, visually rich screens, and structured content that guides users through different sections such as park history, visitor services, and educational insights about nature.
The goal of this project was to create an intuitive and visually engaging kiosk experience for public spaces. A major challenge was designing a layout that works seamlessly on large touchscreen devices while maintaining clarity and ease of use. Presenting informational content in an interactive and non-overwhelming way required careful UI structuring and user flow planning.
The project started with structuring the content into clear sections such as history, visitor information, and wildlife exploration. The interface was designed with large touch-friendly elements and smooth transitions using JavaScript animations. Visual assets like maps, icons, and images were integrated to enhance storytelling and improve user engagement across different screens.
The final deliverable is a fully functional touchscreen kiosk application that allows users to navigate through multiple sections of Ontario Parks. It provides an immersive experience combining educational content, interactive UI, and visually appealing layouts suitable for real-world installations.
